The Yoga mat is a mirror.

Each time unrolled, there is an opportunity to understand ourselves and where we are at with a little more clarity, compassion & depth. By following our breath and practising presence, we can carve out a space for meaning, joy and so much more. I hope to see you on the mat soon.

Who am I?

I like to think of myself as a Facilitator of self inquiry…Yes, I know this can sound somewhat idiosyncratic and perhaps a bit woolly, but what is a Yoga practice if not an opportunity to explore our own mental, physical and spiritual landscapes!? Yes, I do teach asana but I do so because those postures are an incredible tool for self-inquiry, and knowing ourselves better means we can move through the world with more ease, curiosity and compassion.

Yes, I am a Yoga Teacher, and that means I am here to empower you with the tools of Yoga, not to tell you what is “right” or “wrong”.

It’s evident that language is hugely important to how we perceive our reality and whilst I have qualifications and continue my student-hood, I fervently believe that our bodies and our experiences are our greatest teachers and that hierarchy has no place in the Yoga Practice.

I have been teaching consistency since 2019. Vinyasa Yoga is my first love and I teach an inquisitive embodied approach to this…this means it’s highly unlikely I’ll tell you you’re getting it wrong! I also teach Yin, Yoga Nidra, Pranayama and Meditation across Brighton and Hove. Along with regular classes & workshops, I have taught at festivals, on retreats, for NGOs, at parties and even Hen-dos!

Along with teaching Yoga, I am a Writer, Podcaster, Yoga Studio Manager and at my core a Creative.

I’m passionate about holding space for you!

Creating an environment where you feel empowered to explore and learn about your physical, mental, spiritual and emotional landscape is my deepest calling. Together we can create a space for self-inquiry, curiosity and flow, where we can let go of ego and the negative stories we tell ourselves and connect to the profound joy found in our Yoga Practice. Yoga can be so serious and I love to take my dedication to the practice seriously, but why not just move for the joy of moving! For the shear celebration of being alive?

My classes are often an infusion of personal musings, Yogic philosophy, seasonal themes, shit jokes and skill-based asana, all galvanised by a steady rhythmic breath. I want to take you on a journey of exploration, where the esoteric meets the scientific, where ancient Eastern wisdom and science meet the Western contemporary.

Keep returning to your Yoga mat!

I have a practice of over a decade and completed my 200hr Vinyasa Yoga training with Trimurti Yoga in Goa, India in 2019. My deep interest in Anatomy has led me to complete CPDs with Leslie Kaminoff, Amy Mathews and Celest Pereira. I’ve completed several pieces of training on various subjects with Jason Crandell, both online and in the studio.

More recently, my curiosity led me to continue my training with Calli Popham, who is a true rebel of the Yoga world in the best possible way as a trailblazer for the Embodied Yoga path. To all my teachers, I am and continue to be, eternally grateful.
